Alexander Orlov Russia


A pupil of the Nizhny Novgorod Boys ' Choir Chapel, a graduate of the L. K. Sivukhin Choral College (class of Professor N. I. Pokrovsky), the Nizhny Novgorod Glinka Conservatory (class of Professor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation V. A. Kurzhavsky). From 2001 to 2008-teacher of the Conducting and Choral Faculty of the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory, from 2002 to 2004-Chief choirmaster of the chamber choir "Nizhny Novgorod". Since 1999-choirmaster, later-head of the boys ' choir and teacher of the L. K. Sivukhin Choral College. In 2012, at the invitation of Larisa Gergieva, he worked as a choirmaster in the productions of three Ossetian operas at the Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. From 2016 to 2019-teacher of conducting at the A.V. Sveshnikov Choral School and the V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art (Moscow). Choirmaster of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater in 2019.

The boys ' choir under the direction of Alexander Orlov became the winner of All-Russian and international competitions in Russia, in 2009-in Germany at the I. Brahms Choral Competition (Wernigerode). At the competition, I. Brahms was awarded a special prize "Dirigentenpreis". With the boys ' choir, he took part in the Moscow Easter Festival.

Graduates of the conducting class continue their studies at Moscow universities (the Gnessin Academy, the V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art, the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, etc.) and at the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory, and are choirmasters of Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod collectives.
