The Makletskiy concert hall 1900
This is the first concert hall in Yekaterinburg.
It was built in 1900 by an architect Yuly Dutel, a graduate of the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts. During the construction of the concert hall he used his own secrets providing clarity, spatiality and timbre saturation to the sound of the voice. The Makletskiy concert hall was reconstructed in 2004 and according to the conclusion of the commission which included experts and sound engineers this hall has no equal in terms of acoustic characteristics in Russia.
On the stage were outstanding musicians S. Prokofiev, D. Shostakovich, D. Oistrakh, G. Neuhaus.
